About this opportunity

As an Onsite Support Engineer you investigate and resolve technical issues with Wafer Handler systems at ASML. Issues range from relatively simple mechanical problems to complex mechatronic failures. You analyse the situation, determine the possible root cause and coordinate or perform the corrective actions.

The role combines two environments:

  • About 60% of your time you work onsite at ASML
  • About 40% of your time you work at the manufacturer of the Wafer Handlers, supporting Test Engineering for the new MK9 Wafer Handler platform

This is not a traditional service position on one machine or one fixed location. It is a true all-round role across the complete technical chain between manufacturer and customer. The working language is English, Dutch is not required.

Your daily responsibilities

  • Troubleshooting and root cause analysis on Wafer Handler systems at ASML
  • Keeping a helicopter view: what the problem is, what has been investigated and which specialist or discipline is needed
  • Supporting testing, qualification and structural product improvements on the MK9 platform
  • Communicating clearly with ASML and managing expectations, also under pressure
  • Recording findings and actions, and preparing clear handovers between shifts
  • Reporting progress to ASML and keeping technical information traceable

What you bring

  • A completed technical education in mechatronics, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or similar (MBO+ / EQF level 4 or HBO-level thinking)
  • Experience with complex mechanical or mechatronic systems
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Experience reading technical drawings and procedures
  • Good English communication skills
  • Strong administrative and reporting skills
  • An independent, proactive and customer-oriented attitude
  • You stay calm and professional under pressure and switch easily between technical situations

What you can expect

  • Base salary between €3,300 and €4,200 gross per month, depending on education, knowledge and experience
  • 24% shift allowance in the 2-shift system
  • 5% ADV allowance on top of your base salary
  • 8.33% holiday allowance
  • 25 holiday days per year and travel allowance
  • Extensive technical onboarding and training
  • Direct exposure to ASML’s production environment
  • You may qualify for the Dutch 30% ruling if you are recruited from abroad and meet the conditions
