About this opportunity
As a CNC Machinist you work in a new, modern factory and make sure the production process runs smoothly. The factory manufactures wheel hubs for Volvo trucks and is the first location in Europe with this fully automated way of manufacturing.
The machine park consists of new Famar CNC machines (mill/turn combinations) with Siemens control, combined with Fanuc robotics: some of the best equipment in the industry. You work closely with production operators, process engineers and technical service colleagues, and play a key role in launching production on the new automated line.
Your daily responsibilities
- Operating, setting up and reconfiguring machines independently
- Taking shift responsibility for solving machine problems
- Optimising automated production lines while meeting safety standards
- Performing measurements and registering deviations
- Handling first-line maintenance and resolving technical issues
- Keeping a clean and organised workspace in line with WCM-5S
- Implementing improvements together with process engineers
What you bring
- A completed technical education (EQF level 3, 4 or 5)
- Reading drawings and machine programs is no problem for you
- Good knowledge of materials and tools
- Experience with Siemens control is a plus
- Willingness to work in a 5-shift system
- Proficiency in English
- A detail-oriented, quality-conscious and solution-focused team player
- A proactive mindset for optimising automated processes
What you can expect
- Salary between €3,800 and €4,030 gross per month, including 30% shift allowance, depending on experience
- 8.33% holiday allowance
- 25 holiday days per year (pro rata for the 32.5-hour 5-shift schedule) and 7 public holidays
